OpenScales GIS on the BlackBerry PlayBook

The release of the new BlackBerry Playbook Simulator for Flash Builder Burrito very exciting. I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to build mapping and GIS application on tablet devices. It took me a little while to get everything set up. You will need to follow the instructions in the RIM video available from the development page. Renaun Erickson of Adobe was also a big help. I have ported an OpenScales mapping application to the simulator. The video below show both the simulator and a version of the application. This application is based on the template I discuss in this blog article.
